Dragons' Den Bannatyne backs Age Positive guides for business.

Entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne – star of the BBC’s Dragons’ Den – is supporting Age Positive’s call for businesses to reap the benefits of employing a mixed-age workforce that includes older workers.

Duncan comments:

"Every day employers are making disastrous recruitment and management decisions on the basis of outdated stereotypes. In my career I've seen successful entrepreneurs and business figures, both young and old, defying ageist stereotypes. The business community needs to wake up to the reality of today's society - make age diversity part of your business!"

A series of Age Positive Guides is available to help businesses get to grips with age discrimination across subjects such as recruitment, health and safety, training and flexible retirement.

The series of 11 booklets tackle some of the most common issues raised since the age regulations were implemented. They include frequently asked questions, practical tips and case studies from companies of many sizes and sectors, from South Wales Forgemasters to Coca Cola.
